Mother's Day
Here are some great shots from Mother's day. We spent it with my mom (taking the pictures and sadly didn't end up in them!) at the beach in the Hamptons. Eliyashu is definitely learning how to live the high life!
The super-cool sunglasses were a great touch, Mom :)

the 18th month, mostly
Three boys--Zeno, Eliyashu and Pi. These are my best friend from college's kids. And let me tell you. Three boys can be a LOT of energy!! Phew!
This one is from right before Passover, at Birkat HaChamah--the sun blessing. This was our second one that morning--Eliyashu is basically saying--Really Imama?!? I've been up since 5:30 AM for this? And in 28 years I'm going to think it is crazy that we went to one, let alone two!!
at Equality and Justice Day--In Albany, NY at the Empire State Plaza. This was Eliyashu's first rally! We went to demonstrate for marriage equality, gender non-discrimination, and a bill to protect children in schools against bullying based on gender expression. Very big day--over 2,000 people came to the event!
yes, that's us--reconstructionist Jews for equality :)

praying together . . .
eliyashu decided he wanted my prayer shawl. how cute!
he also decided being on the top of the stacks of chairs would be a lot of fun.
it is amazing to watch him during the prayer services. he is such a little davenner! he bows when everyone else is bowing. . he stands when everyone stands, and he just loves the music! it is so sweet. he drums along or dances around. it is like he has been there his whole life.
who knows, maybe we'll have another generation of rabbis in the family one day ;)
